    Provided are a method for forming an aluminum oxide nanofiber using an electrochemical method and an aluminum oxide nanofiber produced thereby. The method for forming an aluminum oxide nanofiber using an electrochemical method according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises the steps of: preparing a working electrode (WE) including a reference electrode (RE), a counter electrode (CE), and aluminum; disposing a nanofiber on the WE; respectively immersing the three electrodes in an acidic aqueous solution; and applying voltage to form an aluminum oxide film on the nanofiber.
