This technology employs a unique technique of collecting unique blood vessel flow characteristics without the need for sophisticated imaging or ultrasound technologies. This enables the solution to be simplified for an out-of-hospital setting usage and reduces the high procedural-associated costs such asclinician consultation fees, operating theatre fees, hospitalization fees etc. Designed for patients use with little training required, the sensory hardware uses contact-pressure sensors which can potentially be used as a watch-like/cuff-like device strapped around the area of interest.Through this technology, patients are able to obtain a prediction for theprobable narrowing of their blood vessels. To-date, this technology has a 85% prediction accuracy. This technology solution is compliantwith medical standards: ISO13485 & ICE 60601.
This technology is developed for the identification of blockages in the hemodialysis blood vessels. This technology can also be used for other medical applicationuse cases that require the constant or continuous monitoring of superficial arteries for blockages or occlusion. For example, this can be utilised for monitoring of carotid artery occlusion for stroke prevention.
